Dine in Set up for customer, though majority is pick up, service was good, Nothing fancy, comfortable to enjoy a meal.

I moved from NJ to OH and it has been hard to find the same type of Chinese food im used to. In NJ we are known for pizza parlors and Chinese takeout joints in every strip mall. This establishment might not look like much but the food speaks for itself. The building could use a remodel. The staff was extremely friendly and seated me quickly at lunch time. I had the wonton soup which had a rich chicken broth and 2 meaty wontons. Very good! The pork pan fried dumplings were cooked perfectly and tightly packed with meat. The dipping sauce was very delicious, but I like mine with more rice vinegar. Thats just me. The crispy noodles were the lightest and freshest I've ever had. Now for the main course, beef with broccoli. The broccoli was fresh, bright green and cooked perfectly with still being crunchy. The beef was cut into idea bite size pieces and so tender. The sauce was out of this world. It had perfect seasoning and the point every other restaurant misses is the savory aspect in Chinese cooking these guys nailed it !!! The lunch portion was normal sized and the price point was just right. Not expensive at all. I would hate to say it but the could actually charge a little more if they were to fix up the building to make it more inviting for people to come in for a sit-down dinner. The menus in NJ are like a sheet of wallpaper. This one is more of what im used too though limited. But like most eastcoast restaurants im sure they will make anything if you ask nicely. To sum up my experience here in one sentence, I was ready to go back for dinner that same night. Im so glad I found this place! The lady at the counter told me she's been here for 18 years and with this quality food they should last many more.

I stopped into Golden House for a weekday lunch and had a very solid experience. It's important to know this is a primarily takeout-focused restaurant, as the dining room is very basic and there was some ongoing construction during my visit. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken combination platter. The portion was extremely generous, with lots of chicken. The chicken itself was perfectly crunchy, though the sauce was a little on the liquidy side for my taste. The platter came with chicken fried rice. A real highlight was the complimentary chicken egg roll served before the meal—it was light, crispy, and delicious, especially with the provided hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce for dipping. The service was very kind and attentive. With a Diet Coke and tip, my total came to around $15, which is excellent value for the amount of food. Overall: A great spot for a reliable and filling lunch special. The food is good, the portions are generous, and the price is right. Next time, I'll probably opt for takeout since the ambiance is pretty basic. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a quality meal without the frills.

Good portions and great food. I've been looking for a place like this. My last favorite Chinese food place closed last year, I've tried many substitutes. I've only found a few this good. None are by my house, but I have been finding them in surrounding areas. From now on, whenever I'm in Petersburg I'm getting my Chinese food from Golden House. Don't judge a book by it's cover, the building is not much to look at, but the food is amazing.

Golden House - Perrysburg welcomes you with authentic flavors and generous portions that satisfy both the appetite and the soul. Nestled in a modest spot on E South Boundary Street, this unassuming establishment excels in delivering classic Chinese dishes that resonate with freshness and balance. From piping hot wonton soup rich with savory chicken broth to perfectly pan-fried pork dumplings bursting with chewy texture and robust seasoning, each bite reveals the care behind the kitchen’s craft.

The star here is the harmony of texture and taste: tender beef paired with vibrant, crisp broccoli enveloped in a deeply savory sauce that hits all the right notes where others fall short. Egg rolls arrive fresh-rolled and crisp, complementing well-balanced fried rice that strikes just the right moisture level, neither sticky nor dry, ideal for savoring alongside a soothing pot of hot tea. The sweet and sour dishes and Lo Mein garner special praise, delivering a comforting yet exciting flavor profile.

While the ambiance leans toward functional rather than fancy, and its primary focus is on takeout, the attentive and friendly service elevates the dining experience, making you feel genuinely valued. Prices remain approachable, offering excellent value without sacrificing quality or portion size. Whether you’re craving a hearty General Tso’s Chicken platter with its perfectly crunchy coating or a fresh, vibrant noodle dish, Golden House stands as a dependable beacon of Chinese cuisine in Perrysburg.

Finding this gem is a reminder that remarkable food doesn’t need bells and whistles—just authentic recipes executed with passion and consistency. It’s easy to see why longtime patrons and newcomers alike return again and again, eager to embrace the warmth and flavor of Golden House.
